Good Shoe

This shoe is amazing! It fits perfectly, it very comfortable, and all around looks great! I would highly recommend.

Not recommended for wider feet

This shoe is really good in price and design but an absolute nightmare for wider feet. The length is true for US10 however width is narrow and it constricts the side of feet, making it unbearable. Going up half size feels too long. It’s a pity.

No proper size for me

Bought the same size as my previous Vapor Pros. However, this time they were way bigger. Therefore, I ordered one size smaller and now they are too small. It is still a quite comfortable shoe, upper durability seems quite good and sole as week. I played two matches and they show already slight wear-down on the outsole but I run a lot so I guess it is alright. The inside of the shoe (at least for my foot) is too hard and actually caused a little wound while playing a match. I do prefer the previous model but I wished I could wear them in a size that fits properly like the models before but this one unfortunately is sized weirdly.

Great update

The shoe ties tighter than the last version; looks cooler, and feels more comfortable.

These Kill My Feet

Not sure what is going on with these. I have flat, narrow feet and have enjoyed many of Nike’s other shoes over the years. However, these just kill my feet. I cannot wear them without pain. Back to the less durable but significantly more comfortable Diadoras.

Great update better than VP1

New updated Vapor Pro 2 is better lock in system compare to previous version. Also they remove pinky-toe guard in version 1 no toe pain, slightly wider but still good fit, therefore your fit won’t move around in toe-box. Much more comfort than its precedent. Still light weight and good match shoes. Also it is more durable. I love this update. I think it is the best Nike tennis shoes since Vapor X.

bring back Nike X

This shoe really isn’t fit to be in the same conversation as the all time GOAT Vapor X.

This new Pro 2 is not a good shoe for many reasons but it’s as simple as this: it does not feel like a Vapor.

NIKE please bring back the Vapor X. there just as many people or more who love the 10 as much as those who love the 9.5 and you brought those back, so give all of us who felt the 10 was the best shoe ever back their shoe of choice

Very Disappointing

I have used 8 pairs of the previous Vapor Pro and loved every one of them. They were low the ground, light, and fast. This new version is a disappointment to say the least. The toe box is different and it is causing my toes to jam into the front, resulting in uncomfortable play and bruising. This was not a problem on the previous version, but suddenly it is. They also feel higher off the ground. This could be due to the air unit in the forefoot which doesn’t actually seem to provide that much more cushion. Regardless, they are not as low as the previous Vapor Pro and the Vapor X.

What is most frustrating is that they are wearing out very quickly. I have maybe 20 hours on hard courts on these and the tread is already worn off on the inside portion of the foot tread.

Love the aesthetics, but overall a very disappointing showing from Nike.

A step in the right direction

I’m glad Nike finally reverted back to a simple yet effective approach in revamping the Vapor lineup. I personally think they’ve been over complicating their tennis shoe designs these past few years.

Quite comfortable, light & low to the ground, as you would expect from a Vapor, albeit does require a bit of a break in period compared to the Vapor 9.5 and Vapor X which were good to go straight out of the box.

Somewhat reminds me of Rafa’s 2015 Lunar Balistec model but much lighter, faster and (yep, you guessed it) low to the ground. The shape and fit are pretty similar, although Rafa’s shoe ran a bit big whereas this one fit’s true to size. Medium width.

Overall a good redesign for my taste compared to the first Vapor Pro which, aside from the outsole, I did not like. For context and reference, my all-time favorite tennis shoe remains the Vapor X.

Love it!

The Vapor Pro2 is a great comfortable, stable, cool design and solid tennis shoe. Nike has hit a home run with this shoe at a reasonable price. I have been wearing Asics Gel Resolution 8 which is also a good tennis shoe but the Pro2 is much better in my opinion. I especially like how nimble and quick moving this shoe is compared to the Asics. I can also stop on a dime or slide easily. Don’t hesitate to buy a pair before they are all sold out!!!!

No cushioning

These were my first tennis shoes. Played on hard court only. My feet was always in pain after playing. After the pain started to appear in my back I decided to switch them. Do not recommend!

great shoes for young tennis players.

Very durable and fast, lightweight. But I think they need longer laces. 4.5 out of 5

No break-in necessary, light shoe, durable

This shoe provides stability, comfort, and is light weight. From day one it gives you the comfort one needs on the court. Also, from the many Nike styles, it is one of the most durable for me.

So far so good

I’ve worn these probably 5+ times and so far I like them. I’m interested in seeing how long they last. They’re comfortable enough and I’ve had no issues.

Almost perfect.

I’ve been an Asics guy since I started playing tennis. The Gel Resolution 7 was great. Then switched to the Solution Speed FF which was perfect for me. Well cushioned, very comfortable, light and I felt I was faster on court, reaching balls that I usually missed. The Solution FF 2 felt a little clunky. Totally different feeling from the previous version.

Somebody told me to try these shoes, but Nike never felt good and actually gave me plantar fasciitis so Nike was blacklisted for me. After trying many other brands, I decided to give them a try.

Let me tell you this shoe in now my go to shoe. The are lightweight, really fast and totally silent (Asics are really squeaky). Comfort is not bad, but not great (again Asics are really comfy). The break in period for me was about 3 matches (shoes felt good after a set, but bio-mechanically for me took me 3 matches to get used to a different sole pattern. Every time I change brands my calves and knees feel sore until I get used to them. Does anyone feels the same way changing brands?) The fit is great (I have square feet, not wide but also not narrow). Lengthwise, it is true to size (these are great for people with large second toe). Lateral support is not the best but fastening the last eyelet solves it. At 45 years old, I am not a slider so I don’t know if they are good for it.

In conclusion, these are my new go to shoes and bought several pairs in case the new versions don’t fit the same way. If you are wondering, I’m 6′ 200 lbs, 3.5 player.

Irregular toes, from production

If you’re a stickler for quality these may not be for you as the toe shape on each shoe varies from left to right. IE, one could be flat, the other could be pointy. They all seem irregular due to most likely production issues, molding to the last, etc. I’ve owned multiple pairs already and its the same every time. Very rare that I get a pair with the same toe shape.

Performance-wise, they are amazing. Light, right amount of grip, good fit. Perfect game day shoe.

Huge downgrade from the previous Vapors

I have bought and worn Nikes from TW for years. I liked the 9s, 9.5, X, but this new lacing system and upper material doesn’t work for me. Apparently I am not alone as touring pros like Dimitrov who are still wearing the Xs. Why mess with a great product? Please bring the old Vapors back.

The perfect shoe… for a month

Don’t get me wrong, the Vapor Pro is a great shoe, one of my favorites, but the durability of the shoe makes it one of the worst. I’ve had maybe five or six pairs, with none of them lasting me longer than two to three months. Switching over to Asics in hope of something more comfortable and durable.

Great for me

I was unswayed by the mixed reviews here and on other sites. Over the years, I’ve gone from the Vapor 9.5, to the Vapor X, and now to the Vapor Pro. With every evolution from Nike, there are lots of folks who call the change TERRIBLE, but for me, they’ve all been great. Certainly, different players need different things out of their shoes, but I have a fairly thin foot and I am totally happy with my Vapor Pros. A main criticism of the Vapor line has always been low durability, but I have no issues on that front, either. I got 2 pairs of Vapor X’s in 2019 and they’re still in playing shape (I play about once a week). My nitpick is I think the outside of the Vapor Pro (lateral side with the large swoosh) looks much more stylish than the inside (medial side with the smaller swoosh), and they’re a bit goofy-looking from the top with the asymmetrical lacing, but I trust that there’s some performance benefit. I won’t dwell on these complaints because I’m 6-0 in USTA matches in these shoes!

Last version was better, but this is ok

The tongue on this shoe is really thin and the laces can dig into the top foot area a bit. I went a half size smaller as I usually do with the Vapors. Break in period was a bit longer as I needed about two or three 2hr sessions but now feels like a glove. I played 1x a week, 2 hours each time, and has lasted 5 months. Now looking to replace.
