Workaround

1. In UEFI System Firmware, System Configuration and Boot Management menu select “Boot Manager”. Make sure that the “Legacy Only” option is on the top of the boot order.
   Note: The Boot Order can be changed via “Change Boot Order” and “Add Boot Option” menus.
2. Restart the system.
3. During system Power On Self Test (POST) enter Ctrl+C which will start “LSI Logic MPT Setup Utility”.
4. Select “Manage Array”.
5. Select “Manage Hot Spare”.
6. The Hot Spare setting will be available for user to make changes.
7. Once the Hot Spare drive is assigned to the Array the rebuild operation will start automatically.
   Note: If UEFI aware operating system has been loaded onto the RAID Array Volume, then it will be necessary to revert the boot order to the original settings prior to enabling the “Legacy Only” option in order to boot up the operating system as follows:
8. Exit “LSI Logic MPT Setup Utility” and reboot the system.
9. Boot up to the UEFI System Firmware.
10. In UEFI System Firmware, System Configuration and Boot Management menu select “Boot Manager”. Change the Boot Order so that the same device is on top of the boot order list prior to changes in “Step 1”.
11. Reboot the system.

Note: The rebuild of the array book will continue in the background even subsequently the server be revert to the UEFI modality .
